Thank you for visiting the Roselle Abramowitz Marketplace.
Self-taught fiber artist Roselle Abramowitz has enjoyed a passionate life long love of sewing and color. As a child she revealed her creative side by creating her own dress-up clothes from bits of crepe paper. Sewing has been part of her life ever since. She completed a course of study at Cotnoir & Caponi in Montreal, Canada in pattern-making and draping, for a time working with her husband designing men's shirts and ties. In her own studio, Roselle began exploring the world of art quilts - utilizing non-traditional quilt fabrics, satisfied only when developing unusual color and pattern variations in her designs.
Eighteen years ago, Roselle moved permanently to her home and studio in Stowe, VT, and began a deeper exploration of the fabrics, colors and designs of her clothing line. Her love of color, sense of adventure, and playful spirit are very much in evidence in her work. Roselle cites her life experiences and the people, places, and cultures she has encountered in her travels around the world as influences upon her eclectic, but thoroughly beautiful, art.
To ensure the perfect piece for every occasion, Roselle creates her unique wearable works of art in a variety of fabrics and styles. From silk to cotton, African mud cloth to fine linen, she is devoted to exploring possibility and beauty to the fullest. The most extraordinary aspect of Roselle’s creations is that they are never duplicated - each and every piece is a unique work of art. This easy to wear, elegant clothing is appealing to women of good taste; indeed, Roselle’s collections of wearable art adorn women around the world.
Feel free to contact Roselle with any questions about her work, or for some assistance in choosing the perfect article to wear.
